9:51AM

I hadn't planned on it, but I spent yesterday reading Deathly Hallows from cover to cover. It's amazing since it seems that lately, I can find about a minute and a half for myself, each day. The only thing I will say about Harry Potter is that if you haven't read the books, shame on you.

I'm swimming three times a week. I would swim every day if I could, that's something I've wanted to do all of my life. Unfortunately, I can't swim in the sunshine anymore. One hour of water and sun and I'm sunburned past recognition. With my immune system being on the fritz, it takes weeks to recover from a single burn. Just the same the water is fun and very good for my health.

I've been reading as much as possible, but Harry is the only fiction this year. I've read books on cellular biology and DNA, an astounding dialog between Diasaku Ikeda and Gorbechev called Moral Lessons of the Twenty-First Century, a small book of essays called Wonderful Encounters and several books on screenplay writing, with several more to go, and of course my on-going study of the Major Writings of Nichiren Daishonin and the Orally Transmitted Teachings. I've taken up my husband's method; I take my books everywhere and so read on the bus, bus stop, while waiting in line, anwhere I can.

Hope y'all are doing well. : D
